It's Just Halloween.
God's Perspective on Halloween
It's an American
holiday like Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's just Halloween.
Everybody does it.
The roots of Thanksgiving are traced to the discovery of America, the land of plenty, and the Pilgrims celebrating with the Indians. (As taught in schools around the nation.)
The roots of Christmas are traced to the birth of Jesus, who was and would become the Savior of the world dying for our sins.
It may be a
tradition of Americans but what are the roots of Halloween?
Halloween is the annual celebration of the dead and of the satanic forces.
Halloween tricks people into thinking our activities which anger God are "good"
while they are really "bad."
American's celebrate Halloween by giving candy to unsuspecting children
treats who "buy in" to the idea, selling their soul - if you will - for a chocolate.
Astute students of the Word of God would know that a similar event is
forthcoming, in the Mark of the AntiChrist - just around the corner. See
http://FutureComing.com for more details.
You may ask, chould this Christian Nation, under God, put a stop to this?
Ezekiel 14: 3. "Son of man, these leaders have set up idols in
their hearts. They have embraced things that lead them into sin. (The Lord
said,) Why should I
let them ask me anything?
Let's learn from this:
1. Idols - anything you worship enough to
put God to the side as not worthy.
2. Asking of God - we are hoping for God to
answer our
prayer, yet foregoe what will silence Him from answering.
Leviticus 19:28 `You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh
for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord. '
The significant issue here: participating with the dead.
1. God is the God of the Living (Matthew 22:32)
God instructed His people to have nothing
in association with them.
Yet on Halloween, people willingly give the illusion
of participating with the dead. People take this idol and call it a good
thing when God says it is bad.

Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance
or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord
does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the
Lord looks at the heart.''
The Heart of the Matter:
As I discuss Halloween please realize, I am not without my own guilt for once
advocating Halloween. I discarded a box the size of a dishwasher full of
items to scare and chill. But the Lord looks at the heart. My heart
was being tested, just like your heart. What will God see when He looks at
you? No matter what it cost, it was put at the curb and I changed ME.
(Read more of Leviticus 19-21 for additional Old Testament scriptures which are
"the Law".)
Deuteronomy 18:
9. "When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving
you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.
10. "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his
son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft,
or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,
11. "or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
12. "For all who do these things are an abomination to the
Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out
from before you.
13. "You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.
As we are facing the 2016 election in the USA, neither candidate is True and
Pure - both carry ugly baggage that we wish they could shed. We feel as if
we can't escape the inevitable.
Yet, we can escape the participation in
Halloween. We can escape the wiles of the devil and his desire to have you
be an idolator, by resisting the devil. He will flee.
The American Holiday - One Nation under God?
This is the saddening thing. When we want
something from God we look towards Him. When we want God to look away from
what we are doing, we turn our back. Truly, we have turned our back on
Him. We commit abominations as we give our children to the devil to repeat
the same when they grow up.
Is this the right choice, or should we change?
Deuteronomy 22:5 "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains
to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are
an abomination to the Lord your God.
Dress up is not allowed.
Isaiah 14:
12. "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,
son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened
the nations!
13. For you have said in your heart: `I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount
of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north;
14. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'
Satanic power:
Satan is our singular enemy, do not copy any of his acts and make them your own.
He is seeking to turn us from God, seeking whom he may destroy. Satan is the
abomination. While He is the abomination and has power, we have more.
We have the right to say, No. I have been saying, "No" to Halloween since
1990 and have never turned back. Your friends will look at you strangely
and poke fun at you. Can you take it? (You can!) Is a bag full
of candy worth your soul?
Matthew 4:
8. Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly
high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9. And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.''
10. Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is
written, `You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'
''
11. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Your
blessing, depends on you. Resist the devil, and he will flee.
Don't anger God, for the sake of a chocolate or by wearing
"devilish" clothing. Halloween is an idol of America as a tradition.
We worship it by spending our food money in order to "fit in." God
is good, you be good. Be good because you can be good. Let this be
the first year you say, "NO" to Halloween.
Lord thank you for this opportunity to share Your heart with your people.
