It is 2007.

We have experienced Flooding in the North East where there is never flooding. (April 2007)

We have experienced Massive Tornadoes in the Mid West and Texas. (May 2007)

We have experienced Drought in Florida. ( Driest Winter/Spring in 33 years.)

There are wild-fires in Georgia.

It feels like a wake up call to the Christian community and a call to action. It feels like God is ringing a gong in front of our faces to get us to get on our knees and pray.  But for what?

Revelation 9:18  By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed...
Revelation 9:21  and they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

The plagues are not severe enough to kill off a third of mankind, but, they are severe enough to wipe out the entire town of Greensburg, Kansas in a day with a mile-wide tornado.

So, what should we pray for?  Should we pray for God to turn His wrath away from the United States?  What reasons have we given Him?

2 Chronicles 7:
13. "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14. "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15. "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

God knows who His people are.  God has an attentive ear to those who are humble, asking forgiveness for their sins.  He cares that we fear Him enough to repent, but, He also cares that we love Him for who He is... our provider, our comforter, our counselor, Mighty and Holy.

It is estimated, that men have lustful thoughts every 20 seconds.  Yet, are those thoughts taken captive and do you ask for forgiveness?  The Bible states that we should have more love and respect for our brothers and sisters in Christ, while still reaching out and seeking the lost.  Yet, are there cat-fights and petty issues among the brethren inside your church?  And when will the churches, all owned by Christ, come together and seek Him as one truth as a single voice?

The signs of apostasy are all around us.  The deep south is the Bible-belt, and if we are to see a change, let us be purveyors of change in the church, in the community, in the world.

Prophetically, should the U.S. no longer be able to protect Israel, should the U.S. fall away in apostasy, then Israel will stand alone against the world and truly the tribulation of all men will begin on the face of the earth. 

Get on your knees, ask for your personal forgiveness.  Tell other people they can make a difference on their knees praying to God if even for the first time asking for His mercy and grace.  God has sent the warning shot over the bow, how will you react?

Genesis 18:
32. And Abraham said, "Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten righteous people should be found there in the city?'' And He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.''
33. So the Lord went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.
 

God has promised to relent on His anger if we would come to Him.  What will you do?
