Consider America as Praying Nation - Under a Living God!

As Christians, we know this to be true.  This is, for the first time in this 21st Century, the opportunity to turn back to God and pray to Him.  While it's sad that a tragedy has been used to open eyes that have been closed, that is God's way.

Yes, the hand of evil has struck America on September 11, 2001.  Then America - in fear for the unknown - prayed.  Thank God that His way is the only way.

Unwatched by most of America, was Hurricane Erin, spinning in the Atlantic Ocean.  On September 8th, it was a Category 3 Hurricane with winds of 115 miles per hour.  It's straight-line path would have placed the eye of the storm somewhere between Boston and New York City.  The day it would have hit the coastline about four days after the striking of the Twin Towers.  But, in an astounding - call it heavenly turn of events - the storm took a total change of direction from NW to due East.  That's nearly 180%.... I call it a Rebuke of the Storm and the winds.

The storm could have stopped rescue operations for days, had not the hand of God calmed the storm - in this case changed it's direction.  But why?  Because God keeps his promises and He rebuked the storm because his people - in this case the people of the United States - turned to seek His face. They prayed.  This is powerful - and the message needs to get out.
